Poetry
Sometimes people come to me
And make me hear what they say
All those unpleasant words you throw on me
However I feel okay
Preserve the happy smiley face on me
Hatred won’t change the way I feel about my deep feeling
Because I won’t let them slowly fade my flame
And I’m carrying my soaring spirit up
And I know my outer being is not unimpeachable
I have no idea whether my wrong is correct
Nor my right is incorrect
But I will go on breathing my existence
Insult my image that I made
I don’t mind what they express about me
Flawed self
That’s all that I’ll eternally be
And Allah knows that’s alright along with me
Because I know there’s no one greater than anybody
I understand that everybody is flawed
When you’re struggling to survive in stability
However the melody of life is sometimes out of tone
I just want to be flawlessly flawed self
At times I look at the TV
In newspaper and in magazines
So much lack of confidence surroundings me
I wish I could alter the page
I have to live with my self-esteem
People is so insincere
It’s hard to just stay alive
I may not be strong like a fighter
All look as perfect as they do
I don’t know why you get about yourself
Because I’m limited just like you
So I don’t think about your level
I am not trying to win the contest
Is that all the matter?
this poem I dedicated to SIM BEM UNS
thanks for giving me such kind of great experience

Social Anxiety, Social Anxiety Disorder / Social Phobia
Many people get nervous or self-conscious on occasion, like when giving a speech or interviewing for a new job. But social anxiety disorder is more than just shyness or occasional nerves. If you have social anxiety disorder, your fear of embarrassing yourself is intense — so intense, in fact, that you may go to great lengths to avoid situations that would trigger it. The good news is that many effective treatments and self-help strategies can help you overcome the symptoms of social anxiety and reclaim your life.
What is social anxiety disorder (social phobia)?
Matthew’s story
Matthew skipped class today. It’s the first day of the new semester, and he’s afraid that the professor will go around the class and have the students introduce themselves. He knows it shouldn’t be a big deal, but it really stresses him out. Whenever he has to speak in front of more than just a few people, his voice starts shaking and his face gets red. He always feels so humiliated afterwards.
Since public speaking is Matthew’s worst nightmare, he’s been avoiding a speech class he has to take in order to graduate. He’s also dreading his brother’s wedding, even though it’s over six months away. As the best man, he’ll have to give a toast at the reception and he’s already nervous about it.
Social anxiety disorder, also known as social phobia, involves intense fear of certain social situations — especially situations that are unfamiliar or in which you’ll be watched or evaluated by others. These social situations may be so frightening that you get anxious just thinking about them or go to great lengths to avoid them.
Underlying social anxiety disorder is the fear of being scrutinized, judged, or embarrassed in public. You may be afraid that people will think badly of you or that you won’t measure up in comparison to others. And even though you probably realize that your fears of being judged are at least somewhat irrational and overblown, you still can’t help feeling anxious.
Although it may feel like you’re the only one with this problem, social anxiety disorder is actually quite common. Many people struggle with these fears. But the situations that trigger the symptoms of social phobia can be different.
Some people experience anxiety in most social and performance situations, a condition known as generalized social anxiety disorder. For other people with social phobia, anxiety is connected with specific social situations, such as speaking to strangers, eating at restaurants, or going to parties. The most common specific social phobia is fear of public speaking or performing in front of an audience.
The following situations are often stressful for people with social anxiety disorder:
* Meeting new people
* Being the center of attention
* Being watched while doing something
* Making small talk
* Public speaking
* Performing on stage
* Being teased or criticized
* Talking with “important” people or authority figures
* Being called on in class
* Going on a date
* Making phone calls
* Using public bathrooms
* Taking exams.
* Eating or drinking in public
* Speaking up in a meeting
* Attending parties or other social gatherings
Signs and symptoms of social anxiety disorder (social phobia)
Just because you occasionally get nervous in social situations doesn’t mean you have social anxiety disorder, or social phobia. Many people are shy or self-conscious — at least from time to time — yet it doesn’t get in the way of their everyday functioning. Social anxiety disorder, on the other hand, does interfere with your normal routine and causes tremendous distress.
For example, it’s perfectly normal to get the jitters before giving a speech. But if you have social anxiety disorder, you might worry for weeks ahead of time, call in sick to get out of it, or start shaking so bad during the speech that you can hardly speak.
Psychological symptoms of social anxiety disorder (social phobia)
* Intense worry for days, weeks, or even months before an upcoming social situation.
* Extreme fear of being watched or judged by others, especially people you don’t know.
* Excessive self-consciousness and anxiety in everyday social situations.
* Fear that you’ll act in ways that that will embarrass or humiliate yourself.
* Fear that others will notice that you’re nervous.
* Avoidance of social situations to a degree that limits your activities or disrupts your life.
Physical symptoms of social anxiety disorder (social phobia)
* Pounding heart or tight chest
* Shaky voice
* Rapid breathing
* Sweating or hot flashes
* Upset stomach, nausea
* Dry mouth
* Trembling or shaking
* Muscle tension
* Blushing
* Dizziness, feeling faint
* Clammy hands
* Twitching

Poetry
I ought to take a rest sometime
It feels like all burdens on my shoulder
I have to listen to someone
Probably I will be getting warmer
Duties sweep my comfortable zone
Dreams call my deep heart
To rapidly blend to my life and be done
Before finally I fall apart
I set my fire for my obligation
I guess I can burn so I can flee
But there will be an alteration
And I can give nothing to Thee
Though I try and try to let go
I try so hard to walk away
But then God lets me know
That dream won’t run away

Hi folks!!! How’s your feeling today??
Now we’re gonna learn about some idioms. Idiom is an expression whose meanings cannot be inferred from the meanings of the words that make it up (http://wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn?s=idiom). Here I provide some examples, most used by native:
Gals: girls, women, female
Fellas: boys, men, male
Brunch: Breakfast and lunch, around the hoour of 11 a.m.
Up in my grill: when someone is excessively annoying and bothering you.

Poetry
I need to go slow
Before everything goes too far
I’ll be out of control
If there’s no brake in my life
I have to stay up in my lane
I have to keep this faith
I hope that I turn to the right
To the right path
Then You are here, deep down inside
Take me to a ride
There are lots of ups and downs
Sometimes there is a bend in the road
When I’m pulled to the side
I expect You carry me home safe and sound
Someday this vehicle needs to take a rest
Rest in peace for a long time

Hi folks! How are you today? I hope you are in the best condition today, because we’re gonna learn something as great as my previous post. Last time, we already discussed about cross cultural understanding. Now, we will discuss about cross characteristic understanding. What the hell is that? :mrgreen:
Cross characteristic Understanding is an understanding about the different characteristic or attitude among people. I’m sure you agree that everybody has their own way of life. There are cheerful people and also the quiet ones. So how do we understand when we meet somebody who has contrast characteristic with us?
1. Recognize your friend’s characteristic in detail. For example, one of your friends is a vulnerable person, he or she is easy to get upset. So, here you will learn that you need to be careful to take an action.
2. Be careful with stranger. Sometimes they act like a good person.
3. Don’t use your emotional in certain time. Take a look around to whom you talk. Maybe there’s misunderstanding or missed communication when something goes wrong.
That’s all my tips to be a wise person. LOL
See you next time.

Hi guys, how are you today?
This occasion I’d like to explain you something about ‘attitude’ or you may name it as ‘cultural’. What will it be about??
- You know that if we grow and live in a society, we will grow and live with the language at the same time is brought its culture. For example: Andi lives in Java, so he speaks Javanese and also has Javanese culture. This ain’t a big problem if Andi meets somebody from Java like him. But it’s going to be a trouble if Andi meets somebody else from another region, e.g. Budi who comes from Borneo. It they both don’t understand each other culture, there will be mistakes.
Here we will learn together about cross cultural understanding.
to be continued……
